Autodesk Printing in Windows 7 using shared printer

Windows 7 shared printer install from another Windows 7 computer will not delete.  The printer was taken off line a few months ago but never got deleted.  Now the same printer is being shared from another PC on the network.  Both printers show up in "Devices and Printers" but when I go to select the new printer in Autodesk the new install doesnt show up.  The old computer share shows up. I have tried removing the old share from the computer for about 30 minutes and it will not delete.  No errors but when i refresh the old share shows back up.

Try login in as another user with admin rights then delefe the primter. If on network you migjt need to login as local admin.

    Accepted Solution

I ended up going through the registry and deleting every instance of both share names.  After that I rebooted the PC and connected to the new share and it seems to work fine.  There were 30-40 registry entries with the old share name.  sheeeeesh
