Activesync does not display email status information

We use Exchange 2010 SP1. One of our users has a problem with her email status information not being updated on her Outlook. In other words, she reads her emails on her device (iPhone 4), but the status of the emails remains unchanged on her Outlook (v. 2003). The status does not change even after we click on "Send/Receive" button.

By the way, other users with the same device do NOT have the same problem. And, the device updates her Gmail/AOL email status.

Any suggestions?

Please check her mail using OWA - if the mail's are updated in OWA - then please close Outlook, delete the Offline Cache (.ost file) and then open up Outlook again.

If not updated in OWA - please delete the account on the iPhone, reboot the phone and then add the account again.
