what is the difference of both of the following sql statement

"SELECT userid, username FROM user_table WHERE username='$username'";
"SELECT `userid`, `username` FROM ` user_table ` WHERE `username` = '$username'";

Nothing, but the weird tic marks could cause problems when using PHP, they are just separators of field and table names.
