We have a employee benefits web portal system installed on a windows small business server 2003 system. When in the network, employees are able to see and access this portal , but when conntected via vpn from outside, employees are no longer able to access the portal.

When users try to access the website, they get the error "HTTP ERROR 403.6,  IP address of the client has been rejected."

I understand that i need to configure IIS settings to allow access, but am unsure how to go about this. Any advice would be much appreciated!

You have an IP restriction on the web site. Use IIS Manager to remove it. Go to the web site properties page. It's on the Directory security tab.
