SQL 2005 cluster Error

Hi All,

  My setup:

SQL 2005 Active/passive

The active node is two IBM 3950 Connected to each others ( Cascading) and the passive is a single server IBM 3920.

I have one SQL job that runs each night, my problem is that if I run that SQL job while im using the active node ( Two IBM 3950 ) server I get this error

TCP Provider: The semaphore timeout period has expired. [SQLSTATE 08S01] (Error 121)  Communication link failure [SQLSTATE 08S01] (Error 121).  The step failed.

Please note that the SQL job uses the database in the same server and does not communicate to any other servers. the job works fine the if i run it in the passive one with

Please advise

Thanks

ok
can you create any new sql agent job?
for example with this step
use yourDB
select Getdate()

---
check what is your sql server \sql agent service  startup accout login  and what the login(s) has  sql server permissions --> can  you login as this account andaccess db? run you sql job code directelly ?

also check what is your sql server 2005 service pack?

can you check event viewer\sql error log\sqlagent errors ?
