Hi all,

We are currently trying to set up outlookanywhere on our exchange 2010 server. We have enabled outlookanywhere, and the webmail can be accessed from outside the network.

However, when we try to configure outlook to work with our exchange server from outside the network, we are not able to establish a connection.

We did a test of the connection via the exchange remote connectivity analyzer, and the test failed at the following step

- Testing HTTP authentication methods for URL <oururl.rpcproxy.dll.>
the http auth test failed.

Additional details

a web exception occured because an HTTP 404 - Not found response was recieved from IIS7

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Can you give us more information on your architecture?
is your Exchange server published with ISA/TMG server?
how many CAS servers do you have?
if many, are they member of a CAS array?
may you forgot to install a component on your server, could you check if you have the whole prerequisites:

    Accepted Solution

    Found a solution for this.

Basically had to run  a command to install rpc over HTTP on our server machine.
