    Accepted Solution

I have installed it from the DVD ISO on a fresh install of Windows 7 in about 30 minutes on a Core2 Duo laptop.  You shouldn't be using the computer while it's installing.  I would check the Task Manager for any movement in the CPU/memory for the SP install.  If it's just sitting there for another 30 minutes, I would kill it and reboot.

Best bet is to restart the computer, and only run the SP install.

Depending on your hardware, it can take very long, much longer than 30 minutes.

I've done that a month ago, Yes it is normal, and it took more than 20 minits just to jumb from 35 to 36%
just relax, or have a sleep,
also you may encounter that the system becomes slow, and this is normal for a day or do until some indexing and housekeeping completed
