Want to copy file to Temporary Internet Files

I need to copy a backup back to C:\Users\<my-profile>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files but Windows is not allowing. How can I do that?

Why? Temporary Internet Files are just that. Temporary. The only information that you could ever miss, is that inside cookies. This folder is usually left out of back ups.

I have a problem with authentication of a application that is not working after I removed some files. I have to find out why. How can I copy it back?

This application probably uses cookies based authentication (it check whether a certain value is on a cookie).

This is usually fixed by logging in again to the site or app.

The site is authenticated automatically using Active Directory and NTLM. This thread is only to know how to copy the files back. Do you know it?

You could write down where these files are (or should be) and boot up with a Linux live CD or Pen Drive, browse to that folder and save the files.

I think my recommendation still stands.
