PST file can not be copied CRC error
Here I have a pc crashed. I took out the hard drive and connected it to another pc. I located the pst file. It copies 95% and then says crc error and can not be copied. Right now I am using chkdsk to fix the hard drive. Can any one help?
If scanpst fails to recover the PST file, you can use Advanced Outlook Repair at http://www.datanumen.com/aor/ or other tools at http://www.datanumen.com/aor/compare.htm to do the task.
Remember to work on a COPY of the damaged file! Just that.

Hi, I connected the hard drive to my pc as slave. Turned it on. It automatically scanned the slave drive and fixed it.
xcopy /c outlook.pst d:
For instance, this copies the file, regardless of the CRC errors that may appear. You are, however, going to end up with a faulty PST file, which you should run scanpst on A COPY of the recovered file.
[Always keep a "clean" copy of the file to be restored, so you can go back to the drawing board, if you mess up the file.]
