Change Datasheet View Background Color Sharepoint 2010

The background color of our Datasheet View is a very dark Grey.  I've read numerous posts online stating that I should edit the css file to change the background color.  I have made changes to the band.css file on our sharepoint server and that has made no difference.  Here is what I added to the file:

How can I figure out which css file I need to edit?  We are using a custom theme.  I am new to Sharepoint, please bear with me.

you have to make sure you're editing the right css file.  I would either use firebug in firefox to see what sheet is loading and where you could make the change.

Another way would be to add a Custom Content Editor Web Part in the list and using JavaScript to change the background.  The second mathod is if you don't have access to the server, or you don't want to poke around editing files on the server if you don't know how and where the css file is being used.

Adding the following:

background-color: #ffffff !important;

to the theme css files in TWO locations:

Fixed my issue.

Did more searching and testing on my own to eventually find the solution.
