How to get data from mysql db inside a MS SQL Sever stored proc

Can someone show me how to, from inside a sql server stored proc, to select data from tables in a mysql database?  I've heard this can be done but can't find any examples of

    You could use this technique:

    Or you could use sp_OACreate with adodb that is somewhat described here:

    (I'd go for the first one, this let you work with the MySQL as if it was an SQL server database.)
