I just received a new Verizon Curve 3G 9330 smartphone.
I'm attempting to connect to the device via USB through the BB Desktop Software.

When I select the Media Sync area (Music or Photos or Videos), I get the following message:
"A problem occurred while attempting to connect to your BlackBerry device"

I tried following the instruction from this link:
http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/search.do?cmd=displ¿ayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB19717

And still the same issue.

I'm hoping to transfer files from my laptop (Windows 7 Pro) to my new Curve like pictures, videos and some mp3s.

Please help
Thanks

Hi,

You're normally prompted to enable it on the device when you plug it into USB - are you using the correct SYNC cable?

Regards,

RobMobility.

I'm using the USB cable that came with the phone.
Should I try to uninstall the BB Desktop Software and start again?

Should I plug my BB into my PC first before the software is installed?

Hi,

The software should have installed the relevant USB drivers for the phone.

I can see the device through BB Desktop Software but unable to connect when selecting Media/Video/Pictures.

I will uninstall the software in the AM and try all over again and report on what happens.

Got it working:

Uninstall all Blackberry Desktop Software completely from laptop
Reboot
Plug Device to Laptop and allow driver to be installed
Re-Install Desktop Software
Reboot

Now can see and transfer files to BB device from laptop
