Ah, okay, I see its causing this issue.

That License Message, is you need a License for vSphere vCenter 4.1.

Have you tried checking out your licenses again from VMware for ESX 3.5? I've doen this recently and not had any issues with the License Server as you've got here.

But I did get them emailed again, I didn't use the old license file.

It seems like the this License Server doesn't like the VC_VMOTION entry?

Have you tried selecting the Server, editing the configuration, Licenses, and de-selecting vMotion.

Is this causing any issues?
NAMEWITHELD12Author Commented:
it will not let me uncheck vMotion , how can i shut it off from Vcenter ?
Danny McDanielClinical Systems AnalystCommented:
to remove vMotion, you have to edit the vmkernel portgroup under configuration|networking and uncheck the box for vmotion.
Andrew Hancock (VMware vExpert / EE MVE^2)VMware and Virtualization ConsultantCommented:
ive had another thought, have you tried removing that portion of the liense file which contains the vc motion entry
NAMEWITHELD12Author Commented:
this was 2 issues the Vcenter 4.1 needed to have the 2.5 license from the portal entered into the licsense server

and Vmotion had to be removed
