How to use .eps file images in powerpoint?

Please let me know one can use .eps file images (logo) in powerpoint?
Are .eps images supposed to have a transparent background?

    You will have to convert the EPS to something that PPT can use. I'd use an image editor like Irfanview (or whatever you have, actually), open the EPS in that and save or export it as EMF or PNG.
