If Unchecked Status = " Contract"

When I checked the list items if IsRenewal checked value displays "Yes"
if we uncheck display "No"
But when ever we add new item ( I did not do any thing with "IsRenewal" column)
it displays either Yes or No

It's weirdness with the True/False or Yes/No or 1/2 of the checkbox, which maybe someone else can explain to both of us.  I think it has something to do with the boolean value, but you're trying to use a string as a comparison in the calculated field.

Anyway, I created your list in my test enviro, changed the IsRenewal column to a choice field (Yes or no, using radio buttons), and used the following string in the Status calculated column:

    Works fine.

I kept getting an error regarding unsupported syntax when using the checkbox.
