Users in Outlook 2010 Send/Rec hangs at 50%

I have users connecting via TS to outlook 2010 and when they do the send/rec, it completes 1of 2 and then gets to the 50% mark on the second part and just sits there. Any ideas what is causing this and what I can do to get the send/rec to complete?

the first 50% is usually the receive section the second half is usually the sending section and this applies both for pop/smtp and for exchange send/receive - it may be smtp traffic out from the TS box (or the client session) is blocked in firewall rules?

Hi

Have you personalised the name of the OAB and changed it from the name of "default offline address book" if so you may need to rename it back as per the link below

http://blog.kazmarek.com/2010/04/23/exchange-2010-offline-address-book-will-not-download/

It could be any number of things but we need more information, such as the scope of the users affected, other things to check are whether the OAB is generating correctly on the server,

Some other good reading includes

Hope this helps

No I have not changed the name of the default.
One thing I did just find out which makes no sense is, if I login as the user and open outllook and then either do the f9 or click on send/rec, it does the first part ok which is the send and the it does hang on the oab at 50%, but if I hit cancel and then do it again, both task complete without any issue. This will keep working until I close outllook and open it once again.

Have you considered re-creating the OAB - or forcing a download of it via the send/receive menu dropdown?
