Good Morning,

We have a few users experiencing freezing of there sessions of Outlook 2007 via Citrix. It seems to be completely random. We will have 10 users on the same box and it will only happen to particular users. I have recreated their profiles, pointed them to different servers, and it still keeps happening. The event log show nothing at the time of the session freezing, but I am seeing the following mesage after or before the session freezes.

Faulting application outlook.exe, version 12.0.6550.5003, stamp 4d10fbc4, faulting module emsmdb32.dll, version 12.0.6550.5000, stamp 4ce820dd, debug? 0, fault address 0x00051fd9.

Bucket -2031107018, bucket table 1, faulting application outlook.exe, version 12.0.6550.5003, stamp 4d10fbc4, faulting module emsmdb32.dll, version 12.0.6550.5000, stamp 4ce820dd, debug? 0, fault address 0x00051fd9.

Go to 'Folder Options View' and adjust your settings to show system/hidden files.  Once done, find and rename olmapi32.dll to olmapi32.old (on the system, this file lives at "C:\Program Files or program files(x86) \Microsoft Office\Office12"), then run the Microsoft Office Diagnostics (Start All Programs ->Microsoft Office->Microsoft Office Tools -Microsoft Office Diagnostics).

    Also rename
     Directory of C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14

    01/21/2010  10:11 PM         1,548,728 EMSMDB32.DLL
                   1 File(s)      1,548,728 bytes

    Thank you rjantonelli,

Unfortunately, the fixes you have provides still have not resolved the issue. Granted the instructions are a little confusing, but I have ranamed the files mentioned, uninstalled KB2412171, installed KB2493732, the MSI ran after starting office, and finally the office diagnostic found no issues. All seems well for the first few hours and still the problem persists.  I would appreciate any further assistance.

I do not have an answer but this may help.

If you read this article she talks about COM Add-ins. This maybe a valid point.

One way to troubleshoot this issue is to log on problem account to another  computer or in safe mode with networking and see if the issue persists.. If there is not an issue then at least you know the problem is with the PC that they are using.
