Citrix 4.5 on Windows 2003 - can I upgrade the OS to 2008, then go to Xenapp 6?

I'm currently running Xenapp 4.5 on Windows Server 2003 (single server farm) and don't really have any "extra" servers.  Can I just upgrade the OS to 2008 R2 then do a Xenapp upgrade to version 6?

NO!!!

Citrix does not recommend or support an OS upgrade.  Plus, XenApp 5 on Server 2003 is a different product than XenApp 5 on Server 2008 which is completely different then XenApp 6 on 2008 R2.  Plus there is NO upgrade option for moving to 2008 R2.  You have to completely reload the OS.  Plus, the Farm data store is completely different.  Plus, there is NO way to migrate a Farm data store from XenApp 5 to XenApp 6.

Loud and clear!  I think we're going to have to go with XenApp 5 because the server I want to put it on is 32-bit and  2008 R2 requires 64-bit.  Quick question - XenApp 5 support tablet PC clients (like iPad etc), correct?

BTW, you "upgrade" frpm PS4.5/2003 to XA5/2003 simply by installing the FP3 files and then installing the newer updates.   i.e. Web Interface is now 5.4, CSG is now 3.2.1, etc.
