Can I move the history of a qualified lead to an account?

Hi Experts,
Our users want the history of a qualified lead to carry over to the newly created account in CRM, but by history, I mean a history of a custom entity tied to that lead.
The system shows you the originating lead id, and you can click that link and go to the lead that the new account was generated from, but they don't want to have to do that.
The process that this pertains to, however, has another custom entity, and that is what they want to carry over when the lead qualifies.  

We have a homegrown 'loyalty program' where you get a card with an ID on it, and each time you attend one of our events, we scan your card, so we know what you attend.  So in CRM, this custom entity hangs off of both leads and accounts, depending on what you are.  The account or lead has your unique id on it, then we have a custom entity where each event you attend, you get a new event hung off your account/lead (all this entity has is the event name, event location, and event date).
So in the case where a lead gets qualified and converted to an account, our people want all those events you have already attended to carry over to your account and hang off there instead of having to go back to the old lead to see what events people attended in the past.

My initial thought was a plugin that fired on the action of a lead getting converted to an account.  Is that do-able, or is not feasible to move entity and its attributes around once it is qualified?  If it is, can you give me some direction as to how to go about doing that so everything moves cleanly?  Thanks in advance for any responses.

It sounds to me that you should be able to use a plugin to do what you want, as long as your custom entity Event records are not in a read only state after being associated with the lead. When you qualify your lead, the lead becomes read-only, but it shouldn't effect related records (such as your custom event records).

It seems your plugin could edit all events associated with the qualified lead, and assign them to the new account instead. Is this the direction you're looking for?
