Is the USB cash drawer connected to the CF server or a client PC running a browser software?  Or is the server and client machines the same windows installation?

Do you have any updates from the last time you asked this question?  It was suggested that you need to identify the code that is required to open the drawer.  We can't help you with that, you need to check the drawer documentation to determine how the drawer will open.

Once that is determined, we need to figure out how to execute that code.   As billfusion suggests, it is likely the client machine that has the drawer attached.  Therefore, you will need code on the browser that can run localling with means some java or something.   If you do a post to run the code on the server side,  then perhaps cfexecute can issue the command over your network.

But first, we need to know about the code to open the drawer...

@wannaBe, so you only have one computer involved, and that computer is the web server?   That makes it easier.

Now, we just need to know what code you have to open the drawer.. then we can help you execute that code.

@qdemaria  I don't have code. Now I know what you talking about. I thought I need code to open a drawer. Totally, I'm new. What should I do if I don't have code?

There is no general, all-purpose command that opens cash register drawers.  You need to look at the manual for the drawer and see what command will open it.

if you have the drawer information (or a link to the drawal maker)  you could post it here, perhaps we can help with that part

Seems like you need a driver, something like one of the ones on this page

http://www.apgcashdrawer.com/products/interfaces/software-drivers

You can always contact their tech support to try and get the simplest dos command available.. ?

I concur with gdemaria that since the drawer is connected to the server you can use CFExecute to run the executeable that open the drawer.  You can use one of the DLLs available from the manufacturer, also look for a code sample that you can simply borrow which opens the drawer, and run that with cfexecute.
