computer drops off network

I have a computer that drops off the network throughout the day. The user logs back in and everything works fine for awhile.
He is what I have done so far:
Put new ends on network cable on the pc and switch side
Plugged the cable into a different port in the switch
Hard Coded the ip address, subnet, gateway, and dns in his nic
Any help would be appreciated

I would test the jack.  It could be the drop that is bad all the way to the patch, if that passes then I would look at trying a different Nic.

Is this an Imaged machine using a solution you have it could be an issue where sys prep was overlooked.

Try running a continuous ping to that PC from your workstation.  You will be able to identify when and how long the interruption lasts.  From there you can find a common denominator.

ie ping 10.50.20.200 -t

I will pick up a new nic and see if that is the issue.

If you feel it's the nic, install new drivers for it.  It could be they are dorrupted.

I have installed the new NIC, It seems to be working. I will monitor and let you know. The computer was just rebuilt with the new drivers about a month ago.
