Windows 7 bluetooth problem

Dear experts,

I have an HP laptop, Pavilion dv6
OS: Windows 7 ultimate

After installing the OS from a couple of days, the bluetooth was working perfectly. but suddenly without knowing the reason, the bluetooth stopped working completely.

I'm not able to detect any phone or the bluetooth mouse. I've reinstalled the bluetooth driver from HP website and have tried tens of drivers updates for both hp and my mouse.

the Add Device tool in windows is not able to detect any kind of bluetooth devices. This is really irritating and strange.

please help experts.

I reverted back to a restore  point and it solved it.

Restoring to an old stable state was the solution to my Bluetooth problem.
