A standard parameter I can pass to a SWF file to turn off sound?

A client purchased a business and inherited a website.  The header includes a SWF file and plays some sounds.  They would like to be able to turn this sound off completely.  Are there any standard parameters that can be included in the HTML code that will disable sound??

Using SoundTransform API you can control sound volume on your Audio Player.
You may need to implement a JavaScript bridge via HTML and SWF to control sound from HTML

It might be better to replace the SWF with a new version with no audio.
