adprep32 /forestprep doesn't run

I ran adprep32 /forestprep from my windows 2008R2 DVD on my Windows 2003R2 32bit DC.  The command prompt (ran as administrator) just has a blinking cursor on the next line.

The user account (administrator) is in the schema, domain and enterprise groups.

Darius GhassemCommented:
Is your Windows 2003 server the schema fsmo role holder?

Run dcdiag post results from the working DC.

I would advise to copy the adprep32 to your local hard drive to see if the DVD is just slow.

Yes, it's the schema master.  The files won't copy which makes me think it's a dvd issue... I'm redownloading the image.
