Outlook 2010 crashing

I have a PC with windows 7 that her outlook keeps on crashing. It happens pretty much every day.  I can't figure out what is causing it, I tried to analyze the ***.dmp file, but nothing comes up.
Below is the error in the event log.  She has been using office 2010 with no issues for like 3 months, but all of a sudden, 2 weeks ago, it just started crashing.  Any help would be much appreciated.

What did you try so far?

Try running the following command (Start > Run) and click OK:

outlook.exe /resetnavpane

If that doesn't resolve the problem, create a new profile for her to see if it helps. See here for more info on this.

If all else fails, I guess the next step you can try is to uninstall, reboot and reinstall Outlook to see if the issue still persists afterward.

I've already repaired outlook, but that didn't help. I uninstalled and reinstalled IE8, as I thought it was related to that, but it wasn't.  I tried viewing the dump file with Microsoft debug, but it doesn't finish loading the file.

I'll try the 1st thing you mentioned and then the profile creation.
I had another user where the exact same thing occured and I even tried a new profile and that still didnt' work.

Re-create the user's Windows Profile on the machine. This should help.

Let us know how it goes.

Well, to recreate the users's profile on the machine, that's a bit of work, as I need to save all her settings and data.

Could it be a bad memory issue, as soon as she leaves, I'll run memtest 86+ to check the ram.

Create a new non cached outlook profile with no attached PSTs or additional mailboxes and see if that works.

Also have you tried "outlook /safe" or "outlook /noextensions" ?

afactsAuthor Commented:
I just ran the RAM test for 15 hours, 8 passes, and there were no errors, so it's not a ram issue.

So what are the easiest things to try first?

outlook.exe /resetnavpane  (what does this do?)
I know how to recreate the users windows profile, but I first need to save all her data, so that's going to take some time, I rather do this last as a last option.

How do I create a non cached outlook profile?  I think she has a PST attached, but I can detach it for testing purposes for a few days or so.

So if I just start outlook via the RUN box "outlok /safe  or  outlook /noextensions", will it start up like that each time?  Because it can go an entire day without crashing, so the user will not know how to start it like that.

I am pretty sure the issue is the PST, so disconnect it from her Outlook profile and then restart Outlook to ensure the profile is disconnected from the PST completely. Then wait.

If it doesn't work we can move onto the other solutions

I just closed all the PST's and restarted her outlook, so we'll see what happens. I didn't actually delete them, I just right clicked on it and chose "close", so hopefully that's what you were referring to.

MegaNuk3Commented:
Yes, do NOT delete them, just disconnect is fine

afactsAuthor Commented:
Well, it sure was the PST's that were causing Outlook to crash.

So now the question is, how do I obtain the data from her PST files?  If I attach the PST back, it will crash again.  I tried creating new PST's, but it's still crashing.

MegaNuk3Commented:
Connect the PSTs one by one till you know which one is causing the issue. How big is the faulty one?

Make a copy of it and try SCANPST on it

MegaNuk3Commented:
Or try
Outlook /safe
With the PST and see if outlook doesn't crash

afactsAuthor Commented:
Thanks, I'll try that, she's out for the day, but will try it on Monday.

Thanks everyone for your input, the problem was with one of the PST's as it's been over 2 weeks now and the PST's have not been connected and it hasn't crashed, so I have to migrate the data back into a new pst one by one and see which one is causing it to crash.
