How can i handle large xml files on Ubuntu10.04

Hello everyone,

i wonder that any xml editor exists works on ubuntu with larger than 10mb xml files. i tried gedit first of course, than xml copy editor  and nano but all of them hung up. i tried also split the large file but the file contains one line:)

so, have you any suggestions?

Well gvim is graphical.  You could use gvim easy, no need for manual commands.

Try vim

It's size limit is 2GB for 32 bit machines and several TB for 64 bit machines.

vi/vim/gvim are one of the most powerful editors anyway.  Yes, the down side is a steep learning curve.
