how do I remove author from a word doc

I've created a document which I now want to send to another institution. The document can't look like it came from me.

Is there any way to remove or drastically hide the Author/Properties/Company Name from the file before I email it?

With thanks

In Word 2007 you can click Word button -> Prepare -> Properties.
In there you can remove any tags.

In earlier versions, you can use this guide:

Not Scifo's fault but it was in office 2010 so I had to find it in document inspector/inspect document/remove all metadata.

Cheers though - efficient as always.
