Uninstall Exchange 2003 while exchange 2007 exists

Hey All,

I am going to finish the last step of the migration from 2003 to 2007 on Sunday morning

http://www.msexchange.org/articles-tutorials/exchange-server-2007/migration-deployment/removing-last-exchange-2003-server-exchange-2007-part4.html "Remove Exchange"

The final step is uninstalling exchange 2003 (that the old server was off for the last two months)

1. I was wondering what changes does the uninstall do from the domain prospective?
Meaning if i uninstall the exchange 2003 when exchange 2007 is online and production
What will change?

2. In order to be most prepared any idea what problems might arise and how can I prevent them
Please note that I already migrated all mailboxes, public folders, removed RUS (recipient update services) and followed the above site totally and up until now the exchange 2007 works amazing with exchange 2003 shut down

Everything should be fine if u have followed the article.

Regarding the change, you won't be able to introduce any more Exchange 2003 servers.

a few followup questions that i would like to understand better :)

1. do you have any idea what changes do the uninstall apply from active directory or from schema?
2. should it affect in anyway the exchange 2007 production server?
3. did you hear of any case of a failure during the uninstalling ?
