My CRM 4 work flow can’t work successfully

User A  had security role  "Role A"
User B has security role    "Role B"

When I did a work flow that assigns automatically a particular case from user A to user B, it works well. But when I made some changes for the security roles of users A & B on the Case Entity (e.g.   Remove the create rights for users A & B), I found the following:
-      The work flow for the cases that was created before these security roles modifications didn’t work and give this error “The logged on user does not have the appropriate security permissions to view these records or perform the specific action”.
-      But the work flow for the cases that are created after this security roles modifications work properly without any problems.
So could you assist me to solve this problem?

Hi Sherif,

I don't think that Create right should give you any issues in this case. You have to have Read, Write and Assign permissions for this to workflow to work.

Also I suggest you add this question to Microsoft Dynamics zone so that it gets attention from experts in Dynamics zone.

Regards,
Chinmay.

I suspect there were other security role changes. The other thing I wonder is if one user is part of a Business Unit that is a child of the other? If you changed roles to not allow read/write/edit permissions to parent/business/user that may also affect this scenario.

Dear All;
If there is a problem for the read and write permissions, why the workflow works properly for the cases that are created after I did these Roles modifications
I question what other changes were made at the time. Also, I wonder who is the owner of these cases? If the process changed so that there is now a different owner than for the previous cases, this may have also introduced changes not foreseen.
Dear All,
I found the problem , where  there is another work flow  executed after  2 days , this work flow had the problem  ( it is about sending email from a user 1  has admimistrator role to another user 2 having also administrator role) . when I delete this work flow every thing working fine . I really don't know the real reason for this problem
So is it working? If it is working as expected without the email workflow, it is likely because the 2nd workflow 'Created' an 'Activity' for the case when the email was attempted to be generated. Without having 'Create' permissions, this may have caused the problem.

It seems as if Author got enough information to troubleshoot and get a workaround and is now walking away without trying to solve the 'final solution.'

Seems partial points may be in order. No further requests or answers have been forthcoming from Author after he found workaround. Seems Author is not interested in finding solution.

I may be wrong.
