Prompt to add items to a list - SharePoint 2010

I created two custom lists, Meetings and Agenda Items.  Is there a way to set up a workflow or some other method so that when a user submits a Meeting entry, they are then prompted to enter Agenda Items with the lookup field tied to the Meeting date already populated with what they just entered?

i don't think you'd use a workflow to do that.

however, you could edit the NewForm so that the button they use to submit the form launches the entry form for agenda items, passes the meeting date in the url, and then the code on the agenda items form would accept in the date from the url.
