After all is said and done, what do you think is the simplest way to manage this issue?

One of our VFP apps has a simple form class with just three buttons: Print Setup - Preview - Print.  The click event in the Print Setup button contains nothing other than "=SYS(1037)".  We skipped right over the Vista disaster on our domains, but are now migrating to Win 7.  This issue that popped up with Vista is still a problem in Win 7.

There are some options posted out there, but I am wondering if you all came to a final and easy to implement resolution to replace "=SYS(1037)".

You have to swap this setting into two parts:

1) Printer selection - call GETPRINTER() function and then set the default FoxPro printer by

You can even use following command:

2) Page setup for the selected printer - call SYS(1037) as you do today

Another option is to use PRINTER PROMPT clauses in your REPORT FORM commands and leave users to select the right printer manually.

One more option came in my mind...

Use three buttons:  Preview,  Print to default printer,  Print to selected printer

I am sure you'll find better button captions.
