Wordpress and Connecting to Database

Hi,

I'm trying to figure out why I cannot connect to my wordpress database.

I'm trying to connect using Sequel Pro.

I open wp-config to gather my login credentials, but they don't work.  For 'DB_HOST' it says 'localhost', and this confuses me, as the database that is on my localhost isn't the same database info that I've previously entered through my wordpress site.

So how do I find out the path to my database if not in wp-config?  I'm new to Wordpress and it's been a while since using SQL.

Thanks in advance!

The information in wp-config has to be accurate if your site is working :)

Yes, I think I understand the situation.  Localhost was relative to the server, not my mac I'm using.  If I wanted to know the absolute location I suppose I'd have to call my hosting provider and find out.  Thanks anyways!

The expert confirmed an aspect of the situation, and I figured out the rest myself
