I was wondering if anyone had a good way scheduling SQL Transaction Log Backups. My problem is, I want my transaction log backups to run hourly but not at the same time not when the full or differential backups are running...Anyone know a way around this? Would the priority and availability section of the backup be a good way of handing this?

what are the times you have scheduled the full and differential backups, in my case i have full backup every day once, diff backup every hour and log backups every 2 hours

example
        diff backup at 1 PM
                                             log backup at 1.30
next diff backup at 2 PM
next diff backup at 3 PM
                                            log backup at 3.30

etc...

Full (M, W, F) - DIFF(T, TH, S) Transaction Logs 4 hours...I was hoping there was a way to link the jobs kind of the way you can with duplicate backup sets.

We have decided to run these jobs using SQL and the I will pickup the BAK files using BackupExec for tape backups.
