XP Won't Shut Down in Domain

Some of the machines I have added to my new domain refuse to shut down. This may happen once to one person and never again, or keep happening to the same person. It is random in who it hits, but it is always a Windows XP machine.

What happens is they will try to shut down or log off and the screen flickers ever so subtley like its going to, then nothing happens.

    Accepted Solution

Have you installed the User Profile Hive Cleanup Service?

Also, make sure your system's time is in sync with the domain controller, and DNS is pointing to the domain controller.
