I am running Win 7 64x

Updated and done
- a Virus check
- Hijack this
- SpyBot S&D

My file explorer keeps hanging, especially when I right click and select "Run as Administrator" on Visual Studio, and other programs

Thoughts? Next steps?

Try going to the start menu, and in the search box type cmd, right click on the cmd icon and choose "Run as Administrator".
There, type sfc /scannow . This command will check your system files, and recover damaged ones.

    Accepted Solution

I couldn't right click on anything to "run as administrator"

I used this resource which lead to this program
I disabled a bunch of right click shell programs, and whacky do, it started working again! :)
