Assuming you want your website to be called www.xx.yyy.com, you'll want to create a host record named www on the public DNS server within the xx.yyy.com zone and point it to the external interface of your router.  If port forwarding is configured correctly, it'll forward traffic from there to your local server.

That should be sufficient to enable access internally and externally using the public FQDN.  If you want internal users to access the site using a different name, you'll need to make sure that your internal DNS server has a corresponding host record for it.

You'll also need to configure host headers in IIS for whatever names you use for the site.

I apologize; I took a week off from work and didn't log into EE even once during that time.  Your domain registrar has ultimate control over your public DNS records, although most registrars let you make changes to those records through their websites.  Their interfaces differ, though, so the exact method of creating the record will depend on the registrar.  If you're not sure how to modify your public DNS records, you'll need to contact them.  They'll be able to either make the change for you or guide you through doing it yourself.

Hi Dave,

I have solved that issue as you told i have changed the DNS record to point out my Static IP of my router which in turn port forwards the request to local server. and now everything is working fine.

I'm not one to make a big deal out of this sort of thing, but the solution appears to be what I recommended in comment #35448697.
