Need to Set LPT port mappings inside GPO for all users

Have 2008R2 windows server so is there a way in the milion and one GPO settings to set the LPT ports for our plotters from within GPO on the server for all?


somewhere in GPO set my 2 LPT ports for our plotters?

THIS IS OTHER THAN LOGIN SCRIPT - simply somewhere in the GPO settings.

    If the Plotters are on the Network with IP#s,...then print directly to the TCP/IP Port.
    Forget LPT.

    When installing the Plotter (which should be just like installing a printer) tell it that you are installing a Local Device and that you want to create a "new" port and choose TCP/IP as the type.

    I do not know of any way to involve GPO or login scripts with this.

    It should be an "A". It was a perfectly correct, normal, and proper solution.  The grade is based on the accuracy of the answer,..not whether it was "good news" that the person wanted to hear.  We are here to tell the truth, not tell people what they want to hear,..if the truth happens to be "bad news" then that is just the way it is.
