ipod touch 1st Gen

Hi Experts,

I had purchased documents to go a while back and after resetting my ipod touch I can re-instal it because the current version isn't compatible with the 1st gen Ipod touch.  Since I purchased the app I expect to be able to download the version that I purchased so I can use it.  But itunes & app store keep telling me it's not compatible anymore.  What a rip off!  I bet my $9.99 still works...

Does anyone know how I can download the version that I purchased from the app store?

Thanks,

HNM

Yes .. update your ipod, log in with your username and password and you will be able to install the app again for free.

FYI - Make sure you are logged into your ipod and when you click to install it says do you want to buy this app.  Click Yes.  It will recognize that your account has already purchased the app before and will not charge you again.

ArmyGroo, you're not understanding his problem.

His problem is that he has a first generation ipod touch.  the first generation ipod touch only supports IOS 3.1 and below.  When he bought Documents To Go, it ran on IOS 3.1, so it worked on his ipod touch.

The latest version of Documents to Go only works with IOS 3.2 and above.  So it cannot run on his iPod touch, because his iPod touch only runs 3.1 and below.

He's wiped out his iPod touch, and is re-downloading his apps.  Of course, when he tries to re-download Documents To Go, he gets the CURRENT version, because it's the only version available, and it doesn't run on his iPod, due to the incompatibility I just mentioned.  So he needs to know how to download the older version of the documents to go app, which does run on his iPod.

I think he's going to have to sort it out with Dataviz, the makers of Documents to go.   I'd suggest starting at their support forum, here:  http://forums.dataviz.com/index.php
