lenovo display port problem

I have a Lenovo ThinkCentre 58 when I use a display port adapter, the machine will not boot unless I unplug the display port.  I have tried all BIOS settings what should I try now?

Did you try BIOS or Driver updates?

Wondering also what type of display you have plugged into the display port?
