Cannot connect to Linux Server from Windows 7 machine Windows Security pop up

I have a Windows 7 Home Premium Laptop connecting to a Linux box.  No problems connecting before.  All of a sudden Windows Security is prompting to Enter Network Password.  I can see the share on the Linux machine but can't connect to it.  Why is this happening only on this computer? How do I connect to my server again? All File Sharing is turned on.  I even disabled Windows Firewall and Antivirus.  Still no luck connecting. Windows Security Pop up error

1. Launch regedit from Start Search box.
2. Find the following branch.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa

3. Create a DWORD key under Lsa and set:

Name: LmCompatibilityLevel
Value: 1

4. Restart."
