is there a way to get a free telephone number and then when I call to a company, my company name shows up?

Any help in knowing whether this is possible would be very helpful.

For absolutely free, no. You will have to pay for outgoing calls, especially if you want caller id. Products like Skype or MagicJack will be cheap and allow you to set your caller id.

If you are worried about your number or caller id showing up you could just block it with a star code. That shows up as blocked or unknown.

    Accepted Solution

Google Voice is the best free service out there in my opinion and they don't let you set caller id. I think your stuck spending $10 or $20 a year to get a service with caller id.
