Recover email on Exchange 2003

I need to recover 5 month old email who was on my Exchange 2003. I have complete backup file from that time. What is the best way to do this ?

I did use NTBACKUP and have large .bkf file

Alternative software found to recover: http://www.exchange.bkffilerecovery.net/ 
This is used for recovery from .bkf file if you like. Test and see the trial version. Dont know if it helps to work  with large file
