I work for a company which just lost our senior server administrator. It was not an amicable separation. The responsibility has been left with me alone to run and maintain all of our systems. Unfortunately, there is absolutely no process documentation for anything. Previously I was responsible for anything IT less server admin. I have a good understanding of server systems and run servers at home etc... just not much experience in our live environment. I feel Exchange 2007 is my greatest weakness. Is there a list of best practices or industry standards? I sure would appreciate any advice on how or how often to schedule maintainance, optimize it and keep it up and running.
