Hi,
ok, in access in order to copy or read from a table i use DLOOKUP, very useful, or in forms i use
me.secondorm = forms!totherForm!secondtextbox, basically getting and moving values and text from one box to another is easy in access, but in visual studio 2008, i think i have ti use me,tableadapter.thisColumn or something of this sort! my question is........... How?!!!

Do you mean reading values from a second table?

What sort of control are you working with in VS? You can refere directly to a Textbox, for example, like this:

tbYourTextbox.Text

If that Textbox is on another form, you'd do this:

YourFormName.YourTextboxname

If you're using a Datagrid, you can refer to a "cell" in that datagrid, but you would need to know the row/column of that cell.

I personally do not like wizards. Coding everything myself gives me more control and I know what's going on behind the scenes.

@codecrusr. Will you plz direct me to a good book or tutorial or even methods that will assist me in becoming good in vb.net, finding resources and online stuff is kind of tuff coz they presume u know everything, and the beginner things are too beginner!! any tips plz?
i agree with u i do prefer to code every thing, i feel wizards may turn loose and drop a rule or mess something up, i mean not as solid as coding am i right?

That is as generic a requirement as it could get :-). If you prefer books, search amazon, if you prefer online tutorials, Google is your best friend.
