Environment:
Windows 2003 AD
Exchange 2003 and Windows 2003 DC on the same box (dc-exch)

Goal:
To separate Exchange 2003 from DC with minimum (or zero) interruption to users.
I plan to install Exchange 2003 on a new box (nu-exch); test some mailboxes on the nu-exch first; if ok, then migrate the existing mailboxes from dc-exch to nu-exch; then remove Exchange 2003 from dc-exch box, but I am not sure of the detail at each step. Please provide the detailed steps to accomplish this goal.
Step#1. Detailed steps to install Exchange 2003 in Windows 2003 (nu-exch).
Step#2. How to test if new mailboxes are working ok in nu-exch?
Step#3. How to migrate mailboxes from dc-exch to nu-exch?
Step#4. How to safely and cleanly remove Exchange 2003 from dc-exch?
Step#5. Any change regarding mail traffic forwarding setting at Step#2/3/4?
Step#6. How to ensure that we do not need to re-configure each user's Outlook setting during and post migration?

Thanks.

@Rajith: he's not moving to Exchange 2010 but still going to use 2003.
