Can't see particular wireless network on laptop; everybody else can see it!

hi guys

my dads laptop, which has Vista on it, can't see the wireless network at my place. However, my PC, laptop and somebody elses laptops can ALL see it and connect! His laptop does however see all the networks within the area here!

Dads laptop also worsk on his wireless network at home and it works at other people's houses...other than here! So strange.

I've turned off firewal, I've added the wireless network manually here and nothing!

Any ideas guys?

There's are several types of wireless 802.11 networks. The ones that are most commonly used today are wireless-g and wireless-n. Many wireless cards are not compatible with all wireless network types, especially in older laptops.

I would start by checking to see what type of wireless network you are trying to connect to and then check your wireless card's specs to make sure that your card is compatible with that network type.
