mapping additional exchange 2010 mailboxes in outlook 2003 issue

We are currently testing migration from exchange 2003 to 2010, so far so good, we have exchange 2010 up and running, and we are now testing outlook 2003 as we will need to run with this until the budget allows us to upgrade to 2010 :-(, we added an exch 2010 account when setting up the outlook profile which works fine, and we can map in additional mailboxes which are still in 2003, but when we try to map in an additional mailbox which have been created in exch2010, only the mailbox name appears and we can't drill down into the mailbox, nothing happens no errors, nothing! we applied full mailbox permissions also applied the latest exch SP rollup 3 which resolves a few issues with outlook 2003 and exch 2010

Any ideas?

Many Thanks

How long ago did you apply the full mailbox permissions? It can take up to 2 hours.  To expedite this, restart the Microsoft Exchange Information Store Service.

Hi demazter, it was over 24 hrs since we applied the permissions

Sorry meant to add - we restarted the exchange 2010 server also

Hi, this has been resolved, not sure quite what caused it, but when we added the user ad a domain admin, it worked, then removed the permission again, it continued to work, all all subsequent new users that we created!

Strange one but it is now sorted

    Thanks for your input demazter
