User is editing PDF and inserting boxes with text to use as markers as the PDFs are quite large and they need these flags to find certain information.

But after they enter the text its not searchable and they cannot change the font.

Can anyone assist?

thank you

How large is this PDF in number of pages and file size? I just tested inputting text functionality using the Text Box Tool and the Typewriter tool in Acrobat X Pro and find that the search functionality for text in both is intact. I'm wondering if the size of the file is affecting stability which is making the inputted text not found...

I tested this again with a 23MB (76 page) scanned PDF file with combination of text boxes and typewriter input. Afterward, I did a CTRL + F and then searched for words and was able to find all the words in question.

Just to get a bit more information into this... is this a document converted from a Word document or scanned to PDF? It is protected in any way (maybe editing is fine but other functionality is hampered)? Is the text that is being inserted being drawn using the Add text box tool and then typed into, or is the Typewriter being used? Is another tool being employed like Commenting tools or anything else? How many pages is this document? Is the search being conducted using a CTRL + F and then typing the word in the Search box accordingly?

Sorry for so many questions, but I would like to get a better scenario in order to better assist.

I'm not sure if the CTRL + F yielded the results that should occur, but if the OP does not weigh-in here, I feel my recommendations of a step-by-step playback (in questions) would warrant disbursement of points in my favor.
