Installing message queuing after SP2

We had message queuing installed after SP 2 was installed on windows server 2003.
States that message queuing can slow down a server if SP2 is not installed.
My question is if queuing was installed after SP2 would SP2 need to be reinstalled?
My thought is not so much .dll stomping but if queuing was not installed, SP2 may not install unneeded files.

    Accepted Solution

You should not need to reinstall SP2 after enabling message queuing.  It is part of the core files which are updated regardless of usage.
