access 2007 pivot export

I have a query that i created a pivot table on and it displays the data as i need it. When i export to excel the formatting is lost. Is there a way to export an access query as a pivot table to excel or pdf? Can i code a macro that will do this?

What if you exported only the data to your excel file that would generate your pivot table instead?

When i try exporting to excel it is counting the data instead of displaying the detail as access does. The format in access is exactly what i need. When i use the export to excel button at the top it exports 2 sheets- one with the raw data and one that is trying to count.

What if you exported your report using Snap shot viewer instead?

Where is the snapshot viewer? Is that an add-in?

in case you haven't found it here it is:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=b73df33f-6d74-423d-8274-8b7e6313edfb

then just export your report to a .SNP like

DoCmd.OutPutTo acOutputReport,"name of the access report", _
acFormatSNP, "name of the snapshot file", True

The snapshot isnt working. When i try to export my query to excel it is trying to count my data. I need it to read with the descriptions in the pivot table
